About the PerfecCase®
The PerfecCase has 4 USA & International patents. It was designed by Dr. Rod Kurthy because he was frustrated with the existing cigar sleeve cases that can’t hold cigars with larger than 52 ring gauge or longer than 6.5”. Being a research & development scientist, he knew the leather and wood in typical cases are “hygroscopic” and aggressively dried out his cigars.
The PerfecCase is made of PolyRIGIDiene™, a polymer which Dr. Rod developed for certain sophisticated dental instruments he created. It will not absorb humidity from cigars and dry them out; and it is extremely durable over decades of use. PerfecCase is also virtually airtight, and Rod designed a slot to hold an 8gm humidity pack with your choice of humidity level. Plus, it easily holds cigars with ring gauges up to 61 and lengths over 8”, including Churchills, Lanceros and even Double Coronas.
The PerfecCase was designed to match the PerfecPak Cigar Accessories Case, and they can be held together with the elastic PerfecStrap for easy carrying.
Dr. Rod Kurthy has been a dentist and medical research scientist for over four decades, so he always turns to the science. Rod has been frustrated by two distinct problems with the typical cigar sleeve cases on the market:
Typical leather/wood cigar sleeve cases dry cigars out.
- Typical cigar sleeve cases are made of leather and wood. Both leather and wood are hygroscopic, which means leather and wood aggressively and quickly absorb moisture/humidity from the air. When you place your cigars into one of those typical cigar sleeve cases, the leather and/or wood rapidly starts drying out your cigars.
- Even if you can fit a humidity pack inside the leather/wood case, it will be of little to no help. The leather and wood absorb moisture far faster than humidity packs can release moisture, so your cigars still dry out.
- Typical leather/wood cigar sleeve cases tend not to be airtight, so moisture/humidity is lost through leakage to the outside air.
The PerfecCase functions as a humidor, keeping the humidity level inside the case constant.
- The PerfecCase is made of PolyRIGIDiene, which is a proprietary polymer created by Dr. Rod Kurthy for development of new, sophisticated dental instruments he created. It is extremely stable and durable; and will provide decades of use.
- Unlike leather and wood, PolyRIGIDiene is hydrophobic, which means it repels moisture/humidity. Thus it will not absorb any moisture/humidity away from your cigars.
- The PerfecCase is virtually airtight, so moisture/humidity cannot escape.
- The PerfecCase has a specifically designed slot to hold an 8gm humidity pack with your choice of humidity level.
Larger ring gauge and longer cigars do not fit inside typical cigar sleeve cases.
Typical cigar sleeve cases only fit small to medium cigars with ring gauges up to only 52, and cigars up to only 6 or 6.5 inches long.
The PerfecCase will hold the popular larger ring gauge and longer cigars.
The PerfecCase cigar sleeve cases will fit large cigars with ring gauges up to 61, and cigars up to 8 inches or more, such as Churchills, Lanceros and Double Coronas.

The PerfecCase Cigar Humidifier Case and PerfecPak Cigar Accessories Case were designed to work together, with the same colors, same leather grain design and same style rubberized 3D logo.
The PerfecCase and PerfecPak can be attached together with the elastic PerfecStrap for easy carrying.
